Deep Crafter All Secret Locations and Hidden Blueprints Guide

2026-06-09·Secrets

I've spent an embarrassing amount of time swimming into dead-end caves looking for secrets in Deep Crafter. Some of them are genuinely worth finding — permanent upgrades, rare blueprints, and one room at 1,000m that made me stop and just stare at the screen for a minute.

Here's everything I've found so far. The game is still in Early Access so there's almost certainly more, but these are the ones that actually matter.

Hidden Biomes

Deep Crafter's ocean is procedurally generated, but certain rare biome variants can replace normal cave sections. They're rare, they're one-time finds, and they contain resources you can't get anywhere else.

Crystal Cave (replaces any normal cave section, roughly 0.1% chance). This is the jackpot. Every wall surface is solid Crystal ore — the same crystal you normally find in small ceiling deposits. A single Crystal Cave yields 500+ Crystal shards. I found one at 150m on my second playthrough and it completely changed my early game. If you find one, mine everything. It doesn't respawn.

Mushroom Forest (200-400m depth, about 5% chance). A cavern filled with bioluminescent Glowshrooms of every size. The air here — well, water here — is passively oxygenated by the shrooms. Your O2 doesn't drain while you're inside. It's also genuinely beautiful, which is rare in a factory game. Take a screenshot.

Sunken Ruins (500-700m depth, about 2% chance). What looks like the remains of an alien civilization — angular stone structures, broken archways, and ancient chests. The chests contain rare loot: advanced blueprints, Dark Matter fragments, and occasionally a Void Core. I found a Mk3 Smelter blueprint in one ruin that I wouldn't have unlocked for another 15 hours.

The Developer Memorial (1,000m)

At exactly 1,000 meters depth, dig horizontally in any direction. After about 20 blocks, you'll enter a room that shouldn't exist — a peaceful garden with what looks like eternal sunlight filtering through the water. There are gravestones for Fluffy (a cat), Max (a dog), and Bubbles (a fish). The music changes to a gentle piano piece. No enemies can enter.

Visit it. It unlocks the "Remembered" achievement. More importantly, it's a genuinely touching tribute from the dev team at Samar Studio. I sat there for a few minutes the first time I found it.

Secret Blueprints

Some crafting recipes aren't on the tech tree. You find them in the world.

Dynamite: Find the "Old Miner's Journal" in a skeleton's inventory around 200-300m depth. It teaches you to craft explosives that clear large areas of rock. Useful for base expansion and for accessing buried caves.

Jetpack (yes, underwater): Complete 50 trades with the Abyssal Trader. It's a grind but the jetpack gives you dash movement in water — functionally a 3x sprint speed with a fuel gauge. The fuel recharges slowly from your suit's power.

Golden Drill (cosmetic, 2x mining speed compared to standard): Kill all 5 major creatures — Stone Colossus, Crystal Guardian, Lava Wyrm, Abyssal Horror, and Void Titan. The blueprint unlocks automatically. It's the best personal mining tool in the game and it looks ridiculous in the best way.

The Abyssal Trader

This NPC spawns randomly at 300-700m depth. Look for glowing purple torches in natural cave formations — he sets up near them. His inventory rotates every 3 in-game days and he trades rare items for common ores.

Deals I've gotten from him:

  • 3 Titanium ingots for 30 Copper ingots (absurdly good trade)
  • Void Fragment for 50 Gold ingots (saves having to kill the Abyssal Horror if you're not ready)
  • Crystal Processor blueprint for 20 Ruby (normally drops from Crystal Guardian)
  • Heat Resistance Module for 10 Gold (normally costs 5 Ruby + 3 Gold to craft)

Check his inventory every time you're in his depth range. Sometimes he has nothing good, sometimes he has a deal that saves you 5 hours of grinding.

O2 Secret Spots

There are hidden O2 refill locations in the world that aren't marked on any map. These are natural oxygen vents — cracks in the seafloor that bubble oxygen. They're small, easy to miss, and they've saved my inventory more than once.

Known locations I've found:

  • 80m depth, east of the starting station, inside a small cave behind breakable rocks
  • 250m depth, inside the Crystal Guardian's arena (right side, behind a crystal pillar)
  • 400m depth, in a side tunnel off the main lava chamber
  • 600m depth, behind the Abyssal Horror's spawn point, in a narrow crevasse

The oxygen bubbles give you about 30 seconds of O2 and they regenerate every 60 seconds. They're not a replacement for refill stations but they're excellent emergency backups during boss fights.

The Glowshroom Secret

If you plant exactly 9 Glowshrooms in a 3x3 grid inside a sealed room (walls + door + roof), they create a "Shroom Chamber" bonus: passive O2 generation at the same rate as your base O2 consumption. This means infinite oxygen inside that room with no power cost.

I built one at my 500m mining outpost. It powers the O2 refill station essentially for free — the shrooms produce oxygen faster than the station consumes it. The setup costs 9 Glowshroom spores (harvested from the Mushroom Forest biome), 40 iron plates for the room, and about 20 minutes of construction time.

What I'm Still Looking For

There are rumors in the Steam community about a "Void Garden" biome below 1,200m that contains a unique plant species you can cultivate for infinite Dark Matter. I've been to 1,200m and found nothing but rock and darkness. If it exists, I haven't found it yet. Let me know if you do.
